Abstract

Ultimately, the researcher characterizes his work as an exploration of a specific exegetical methodology—delineating its features, highlighting its primary sources, and identifying some of its applications. It is worth noting—as the researcher himself points out—that this study represents the first attempt to establish the foundations of the "thematic approach" to Quranic exegesis (*al-tafsir al-mawdu'i*). The researcher attributes the credit for this entirely to his mentor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Husayn al-Saghir—a distinguished scholar of Quranic studies at the College of Jurisprudence, University of Kufa—a gesture that reflects the spirit of gratitude and appreciation between a student and his teacher.
